AMS Support — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AMS IT Solutions, Inc. ("AMS", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in the AMS Support mobile application. AMS Support is an internal tool for AMS employees. It is used by our staff to view and respond to support requests and messages submitted by the business owners and customers we serve. It is not a consumer product and is not intended for the general public.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information. Your AMS staff name and work email address, used to sign you in. Staff accounts are issued by AMS; the app does not offer public sign-up.
- Authentication tokens. A secure sign-in token is stored on your device so you stay logged in. It is kept in the device’s protected storage.
- Push notification token. A device token so we can send you alerts when a new support message or ticket arrives. Delivered through Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging via our push provider (Expo).
- Support content. The support tickets, messages, and related account details you view and reply to as part of your job. This is business information processed on AMS systems.
- Basic diagnostics. Standard technical information (such as app version and error logs) needed to keep the app reliable and secure.
2. How We Use Information
- Authenticate you as an authorized AMS staff member.
- Display support tickets and messages, and let you reply to them.
- Send push notifications when a customer or owner needs help.
- Maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the service.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Information is shared only with the infrastructure providers that operate the service on our behalf — such as our hosting and database provider, and the push-notification services listed above — under confidentiality obligations and only to deliver the app’s functionality. Support content is accessible only to authorized AMS personnel.
4. Data Security & Retention
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and sign-in tokens are stored in your device’s secure storage. We retain information for as long as needed to provide support services and to meet legal and operational requirements.
5. Your Choices
You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time. Because AMS Support is an employer-provided tool, account access is managed by AMS administrators.
6. Children
AMS Support is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 13.
